About Chapel Tile

Chapel Tile grew out of the decades of experience that I cultivated as a ceramic artist and educator. After earning a BFA in Ceramics from Beaver College, I worked for several years as a ceramic artisan making Henry Mercer’s tile and mosaics at The Moravian Pottery and Tile Works in Doylestown, PA. I continued to produce and exhibit my artwork. I also taught pottery and art in my home studio and in several private schools in Montgomery County. I earned a Masters Degree in Art Education from Arcadia University and completed over 20 years of teaching in public schools.

Coming full circle, Chapel Tile provides a renewed outlet for my lifelong passion for ceramics. My studio is a quiet chapel of inspiration and creativity, rooted in the American Arts & Crafts movement, Wm. Morris and Stickley designs. Each tile is formed with intention and care. Every piece embodies a spirit of artistic expression and one-of-a-kind design.

My tiles are suitable as decorative accents for individual display or for architectural installations to compliment your selection of field or quarry tile. From kitchens and baths to fireplaces and foyers, stair risers, and garden installations, these unglazed stoneware tiles are created to bring warmth, character, and artistry into both contemporary and Craftsman-style homes. Their timeless design, natural beauty, and enduring craftsmanship will enliven the spaces you call home.
